Every great story has a first chapter.
Ours began at The Stag Inn, Dolgellau.
Armed with nothing more than a Masterbuilt Pro Series smoker, years of experience as a chef, and a belief that North Wales deserved a true smokehouse experience, Snowdonia Smokehouse served its very first guests.
Throughout the afternoon, we welcomed 31 diners to our table. The feedback was everything we had hoped for—rave reviews, empty plates and conversations already turning to the next event.
What started as an idea had become a reality.
Founders Sunday proved that people weren't just looking for great food—they were looking for an experience worth remembering.
This wasn't a polished restaurant opening backed by a big investment.
It was a small smoker, a passionate team, and a commitment to doing things properly.
Looking back, this was the day Snowdonia Smokehouse truly came to life.
The fire was lit.
And this was only Episode One.
